Assistant Property Manager

Site/Program: Las Vegas
Location: Las Vegas, NV

What Youíll Do

As Assistant Property Manager, youíll work closely with the Property Manager and Intake Coordinator and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of three affordable housing properties located in Las Vegas. The properties include 200 units: 150 units assigned to the Veterans Administration Grant Per Diem transitional housing program and housed in two properties funded under the Home and Low tax housing credits and 50 units of affordable housing in a third property. Youíll manage tenant interactions, coordinate with interdisciplinary staff (e.g.: maintenance, case managers, and security), manage financial and reporting matters, interface with HELPís Central Office support teams, and serve as a key member of the management team.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all aspects of leasing including move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.

  • Managing all aspects of rent administration in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Ensuring complete implementation and compliance with Tax Credit/Home/Section 8 and any other pertinent housing program requirements.

  • Maintaining all necessary financial records including rent rolls, accounts payable, etc.

  • Preparing regular monthly reports and special accounting reports on a timely basis.

Requirements

  • Meaningful affordable housing property management experience.

  • Bachelorís Degree strongly preferred, but extensive affordable housing property management experience with High School Diploma/GED could be acceptable.

  • Outstanding customer service and conflict management skills with a willingness to coordinate and cooperate as part of a multidisciplinary service team.

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a timely manner and in a fast paced, demanding environment.

  • Ability to take initiative, be dependable and resourceful, and pay keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Computer literacy, particularly with Yardi and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Tax credit and Home funds experience preferred.
